Case Study – Railings & Transfer Poles

Scenario

This couple came to us wanting to modify their home aesthetically and yet enable them to “age in place” safely. The husband was already experiencing mobility issues and wanted safer access to their beautiful back yard.

Solution

We explored multiple alternatives including railings, ramps and lifts. Ultimately, the client elected to go with a walker step solution. We rebuild their porch and stairs to make them walker friendly (long treads and short risers) and added easy to grip handrails on both sides.
