History

Prompted by his father’s stroke and related rehabilitation needs, MARTIN SIMENC made some minor safety modifications to the family home. In doing so, he realized that many families do not know where to turn to obtain professional assistance with making their home safer following a life changing event (e.g. stroke, hip fracture, birth of a child, etc.). Shortly thereafter, Martin decided to leave a successful career in risk management and loss control to apply a similar engineering philosophy to safety in the home. Home Safety Services was FOUNDED IN 1997 and has since helped OVER 7,000 BAY AREA CLIENTS enhance their safety at home.

Home Safety Services is focused exclusively on making the home a safer place in the most practical manner possible. SAFETY IS ALL WE DO. We are LICENSED General Contractors and Professional Fire Protection Engineers (PE). We are also Associates in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Aging in Place Specialists (CAPS) and Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST). We are also the driving force behind the certification of Child Safety Professionals (CSP) through the International Association for Child Safety.
